The front desk woman was wonderful: kind, informative, and even offered to open the gym after hours for our kids, who had a competition the next day. Some rooms have been updated and some haven't, but ours was clean. The photos were misleading, though the place did the job. There was yelling and door slamming upstairs in the middle of the night, and someone tried to open our teammate's door. Aside from that, it wasn't an awful experience.
For a reasonable price, this was a great place to stay. Staff were super nice and the rooms were clean. The tub was peeling and looked gross. There was no syrup for the waffles or cream cheese for the bagels, and the coffee was really weak, but those were just small perks. Otherwise, great hotel for the price.
Rooms are a nice size, up to date, and clean, and the price was good. Everyone was polite and professional, and they clean the rooms every day. Breakfast is cereal, waffles, and fruit, with coffee available around the clock. The main downside was the construction. It's a hidden jewel.
My boyfriend had stayed here for 19 days, paying every day, keeping the room clean, and being quiet and respectful. I visited three days ago, and at that point the rooms were clean and nothing had gone wrong. But on 10/19/25 at 8:45 p.m., there was a man and a woman at the desk, and after my dog arrived around 1:30 a.m. because of an emergency, we were told we were both banned from the property. We weren't trying to hide the dog. It was a stressful situation, and we planned to go shopping in the morning and pay the pet fee when we got back. We were banned before we could do that. I'm not even the registered guest, and the staff member didn't know my name before saying I couldn't return. I know there are rules, but my boyfriend had been a respectful paying guest for nearly three weeks, and now he's being told to leave because of my mistake. I calmly tried to explain and asked to speak with the boss. The man at the desk told me, “You don’t need to speak with the boss, I’m the manager,” and wouldn't let me talk to anyone else. It felt unfair and unprofessional. We weren't causing trouble, and I think communication and understanding could have handled this without banning us. I hope upper management looks into how this was dealt with. It was very disappointing after he'd done everything right. I'd like to speak to his “boss” so I can handle this the right way.
The staff were easily the best part. Everyone we saw or spoke with was friendly, nice, and happy to help, and check-in was quick and easy. The room was reasonably priced, and the coffee was good, not bitter like hotel coffee often is. We didn't eat breakfast, but it all looked clean and fresh. The room seemed recently painted or upgraded, though some patched spots needed more sanding. The bathroom was updated too, but little things showed its age: new white outlet covers over yellowed outlets, and shower grout that seemed to stop about four inches above the base. We saw no leaks or water damage, and the shower worked fine. A note for anyone claustrophobic: the elevator is smaller than most, and on our fourth floor the narrow hall felt especially tight. I'm 5'2" and could touch both walls, and the ceiling was around seven feet but felt lower. My anxiety went up each time we headed back, but I survived. Road construction out front was annoying because we had to use a single gravel lane to cross the work area into the parking lot, though there was no noise. Overall, a nice stay.
