Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lodi

I booked and paid for two reservations back to back, then registered an additional guest with the front desk. Staff made an explicit exception to let him register without ID and accepted payment for the extended stay. After that, the front desk employee repeatedly tried to remove him, misrepresented what had been said at check-in, and wouldn’t check the security footage. The worst part was when he accidentally locked his key in the room. He’d been staying there for days and staff knew him, but they still refused to help because he had no ID. He was left outside in the cold for hours, with all his belongings locked inside. I had a very upsetting experience at Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lodi and wouldn’t recommend it, especially to anyone helping a vulnerable person. If the hotel couldn’t accommodate the situation, it shouldn’t have made exceptions and accepted payment. The inconsistent rule enforcement and lack of basic professionalism were unacceptable. I hope management addresses this so nobody else is treated this way.

The room layout leaves the bathroom without heat, so it was freezing in there. It was too cold to take a shower.

I’ve lived at this motel for years and have never been spoken to the way Manager Cina spoke to me. She was rude and unprofessional. I had several unexpected problems while trying to get home from my vacation and visit, and she was very unaccommodating, especially since I was going to a funeral. Don’t expect favors from this place like people used to get. I’m giving my trip to Lodi California one star. If she doesn’t like people or her job, she shouldn’t work there. She’s going to ruin the motel.

The two things we didn’t like were the strict pool rules and all the weed smoking. The pool stayed open late, until 10pm, which was a perk, but the rules for using it felt very strict. People were smoking in their cars right outside our room, and others smoked weed behind the decorative wall along the walkway. It was nasty. Enforcing the no weed smoking policy and offering a hot breakfast would have made this five stars. We had a two-bed suite, with one bed in a separate room. The room and sheets were clean. The towels were spares, but they replaced them when we asked. There were some odd fixes on the tub faucet and a treated sheet of wood used as a liner, but it wasn’t bad and the water pressure was decent. The bag breakfast had lots of options and filled us up. Cable was patchy, though the wifi worked fine.
