Candlewood Suites Logan by IHG

The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate, and the front office staff gave us great service. We picked this hotel because the places closer to our chosen writing area had no vacancies. It was around 20 minutes from our destination, with plenty of nearby shops for food, including Kroger and Walmart.

The room was large and fairly up to date, apart from the small TV. Staff were helpful and nice, and it was an okay overnight stop. The air conditioner took about 15 minutes to start, so we worried it was broken, but it did work. Both treadmills were out of order and looked like they’d been that way for a while, which was disappointing. The toilet handle was broken, too, and flushing meant turning it just right. Annoying, but the stay wasn’t bad overall.

Both rooms were very clean, and the beds and pillows were great. We had a small problem with the first room, but they moved us to an upgraded one at no extra cost and made the switch easy. The staff were great.

The kitchen was stocked well enough to cook a meal, with a full-size fridge and freezer, dishwasher, sink, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cooktop, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, glasses, storage containers, a can opener, and a few other odds and ends. I was in the accessible room, and the shower, bathroom, and rest of the room were easy to use. There were lots of outlets, too. The room was spacious and clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the linens were very soft. Staff were friendly and especially helpful. Rates were reasonable, and I’d gladly stay again and recommend it.
