Manor Motel

Three days after buying a whole week, I found a bed bug crawling on me. I went back to ask for a refund and was told no, even though they wouldn’t give my money back. The people were nice and friendly at first, and told me exactly what I wanted to hear to get me to pay for the week. Bed bugs, roaches, you name it, I’m sure they’ve got it. I’ll make sure everyone knows this place is garbage and should be shut down immediately.

After driving 7 hours for work, I checked in, then came back to my room the next day and found two bed bugs and 2 cockroaches, ALIVE. I showed the owners, and he just asked what I wanted him to do. I asked for a refund, but his wife threw a fit and said she’d only give me $90 back out of the $120 I paid. The sheets, comforters, and towels all looked like they’d never been washed. Scummy owners and a scummy place. Stay far away.

The grounds are breathtaking, and the place seems to have everything, including both a Coke and a Pepsi machine. The room options were adequate, and the staff knew their stuff. When I asked the price of a Coke, I got a price list. I ordered enough drinks for the week and handed over $20, but the portions were only in grams. I think they mixed up dollars and cents. Long story short, no soda ever came to my room. About twenty minutes later, a guy they call Mista Cheese showed up with a little corner bag of sugar or something that looked like it, maybe a “make your own drink” kit. I ended up going to the McDonald's down the way instead. I’d read reviews mentioning cockroaches, but I didn’t see any. My body hasn’t stopped itching since I lay on the crinkly, smoke-filled sheets, though. I thought the guy said the beds give hugs, meaning they were super comfortable, but now I think he said bed BUGS. I found bed bugs in the room and tried to tell them, but they brushed me off. The young woman was rude. I always take my trash out to the cans, and she still complained about it after I’d done so. Then she blamed me for the bed bugs and tried to charge me 300 instead of 280. I told her I’d mentioned the problem at the beginning, but she said she didn’t care and wanted to be paid. I found somewhere else to rent, so she didn’t get her 300.
