The room made a big difference for my 91-year-old Mom: it was near the elevator and had a huge walk-in shower. The desk clerk was really helpful in finding us that room. We spent two nights here and would come back. I also walked through the casino and found it pleasant, with no smoke-filled atmosphere. We didn't gamble or eat at the establishment.

The separate smoking room was a relief, thank god. The casino has smaller rooms, but I found some good slot action, which is all I play. I won enough to cover my birthday hotel for four nights. It's also in a good spot, across the 101 from Ferndale.

The slots are fun, and I like the hotel. There’s plenty here too, including a fun center, pool, restaurant, bar, and quick-bite area. I’m from the Round Valley tribes, Wailaki Native, and I’m always honored to promote and use Native businesses. The people working under the tribal flag represent the business, so that matters. Some staff seemed a little biased toward me, and the people cleaning the machines could be more courteous. I wouldn’t recommend the Taco place, either. The way the individual handled and prepared the food looked unsanitary. Still, I like this casino and it’s a good place to visit.

The hotel has great room offers, which is handy if you lose track of time and would rather relax there than drive home. I also love that Bear River Casino often gets new games. I have far more good, winning days than bad ones where I lose.

My dogs totally approve! The staff is super friendly, it feels safe, and the view is beautiful. I love that RV and van folk like me can stay in a lot for up to three nights. I haven't checked out the hotel, though. Maybe one day I'll figure out how to use the $15 worth of free slot play on my players card 🤣. Great little casino!
