I really think they should close the place until the remodeling is finished. I didn’t know renovations were underway until I arrived, and the price was higher than I’d been told. We picked it because our usual hotel’s pool was down for maintenance, and this one had an indoor pool and Jacuzzi. We planned to swim, but a man was cleaning the pool because the water looked green. The hot tub was available, though it was cold at first and took a while to heat up. In the room’s refrigerator, there was what looked like a frozen plastic plate with moldy ice cream cake on it. It was so nasty, and I don’t know how long it had been there.

The rooms are under construction, and the bathroom in ours didn’t even have a door. I booked a king bed but was sent to a room with two queens. They charged my card too many times by “accident” and said the money would be back in ten days. They were rude about it, and the vending machines took money with no refund. This place was rude and inattentive. I wish I could give it zero stars.

I didn’t feel safe or comfortable staying here, and wouldn’t recommend the hotel. I came to London for my niece’s birthday and had booked and paid online for one night. I called right away to check the reservation had arrived, then called later to say I’d be late. They said there’d be a $50 deposit, which I hadn’t been told about earlier, but I said that was okay. On arrival, they said my card had been declined even though the money was already out of my account. Another woman nearby had the same problem. We called a company, which said it would be paid, but the hotel still wanted $100 to make sure the room was paid for. I showed proof and paid respectfully, trying to understand. It took several tries to get the key to work. The room wasn’t as nice as it looked online, and the floor by the bed felt so weak I thought I might fall through. After I went to bed, I was woken twice. The first time it sounded like someone opened my door. Around 7 to 7:30 a.m., someone opened it and started walking in, startling me enough to get up. Downstairs, staff said they didn’t know I was in that room. I explained the trouble the night before. Women eating breakfast told me they’d also had to pay twice the night before, and it wasn’t the same staff member who had given me my key. Staff didn’t help resolve things; when I asked for a manager, the woman just looked at me as if she didn’t know what was going on. I asked for corporate’s number, but they only gave me a company name, so I had to find the number myself. Customer service said it was impossible that they didn’t know I was in the room and filed a complaint. I got my $100 back, but left right away because I didn’t feel comfortable staying. Something feels wrong there.

The guy at the desk was a jerk, and the friend I took there was charged $50 just to stand outside and smoke. I’d pick one of the other hotels in the area. This place is a joke, don’t stay here.
