Best Western Long Beach Inn

The hotel was clean and well cared for, and everyone at the front desk and in housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Lorraine was the special part of our stay. She greeted us with a warm smile both mornings and told us what was being served for breakfast. She has a genuine way of making you feel like family instead of just another guest. We’re already looking forward to seeing Lorraine again when we visit this summer.

We visited in mid-January, and the complimentary coffee and tea station being open around the clock was a lovely extra after a brisk day at the beach. The breakfast was wonderful, and the host was delightful. The staff were exceptional and helped with everything we needed. Our guestroom was tastefully decorated, well appointed, clean, and comfortable, thanks in part to housekeeping’s great work. The property is well managed and maintained, just off the main road but tucked away enough to avoid traffic noise. This Best Western is a fantastic find, and I’ll definitely return.

Linda was amazing and accommodating when we had to change rooms because of the odors. I was glad we could open the windows and get fresh air. The frustrating part was being denied a late checkout after Linda asked her manager, even though I’m an elite Best Western rewards member. What’s the point of loyalty and membership if the advertised benefit isn’t available? Elite members should be able to get late checkout when they ask at check-in. Having to check the next day at 7 a.m. or later defeats the whole point of sleeping in.

It always feels like coming home when I stay here, and I’ve been coming for many years. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, and everyone is friendly and accommodating. Loraynne, the breakfast lady, is such a treasure. She’s kind, makes the stay worth it, and we always look forward to seeing her and the rest of the staff. I’ll keep staying here until the sun don’t shine!
