Sunlight Motel

We paid for three nights in advance for a friend and checked with the desk first about booking a room on someone else’s behalf. They said that was fine. But our friend was later made to leave because we weren’t there, and we weren’t refunded for the nights she didn’t use.

It’s really convenient for getting to my job, and I’d say it’s one of the best places to stay during the week or on weekends. The customer service is amazing, and both the rooms and outdoor areas are clean and well kept. It’s a nice, quiet place with nice TVs and triple beds. I’d recommend staying here.

We were trying to find an inexpensive place for three weeks while the house we were buying in the area went through escrow. Money was tight because we were saving for the down payment. The rate seemed good, and the man showed us a very small room before we booked; its size was fine with us. I was upfront about having a service dog, even though I’m not required to tell a hotel. He immediately said no, then raised the rate by $50 a night, saying he’d have to clean the room. I believe that was incredibly illegal, and I’ll look into how to report it.

At eleven I needed a clean towel, and the attendant was extremely rude. I took the used towels to the front desk, where he pointed out a light mark and said he’d charge me for it. I went back to the room and washed it out. There’s no 24-hour room service. I’ll record what happens next in the morning. Do not go here!
