The Breakers

This feels like our home away from home. The kids love it, and we’re big fans of the pool, hot tub, and trails that lead into town. It’s a condo style place, so the units can vary a bit. Sometimes one is more dated or has slightly different equipment, but the kitchen has what we need. Usually the difference is something like one bathroom or TV being newer than in another unit.

The location, our room, and the pool were all good and clean, and so were the showers. The rooms were great, and everything was clean. Awesome.

The beds were awful. My shoulder injury is flaring badly, and my back is killing me. The WiFi didn’t work, and neither my Verizon phone nor my husband’s AT&T phone had service. The park they advertise wasn’t the park that was actually there. We also got put on the ground floor after some mix-up, but they fixed that issue. There were positives: the property and pool were clean and maintained, the front desk staff were friendly, and it’s pet friendly. The laundry area was really handy, and I enjoyed having a kitchen, though there weren’t many utensils and the pans were very worn. The condos aren’t owned by the breakers, so upkeep depends on each condo’s owner. Our bathroom ceiling also had mold starting. We’d try staying here again, but I need a view and a much better room. Some guests were pretty snotty to other guests, too.

We had a great weekend in a one bedroom apartment. It was very clean when we arrived, had brand new carpet, and the price was really good. Parking was fine, and we enjoyed the park and BBQ area as well as the excellent pool and hot tubs. The apartment had everything we needed in the kitchen, plus enough blankets, pillows, and sheets. Housekeeping didn’t interrupt our stay. I liked that they ask you to get anything you need from the front office, so your privacy is respected and staff aren’t trying to clean while you’re out. We’ll definitely come back.
