Tower Motel Long Beach

The room and bathroom were both spacious and clean, and there are chargers built into the wall between the beds. The motel is handy for its location, has free Wi-Fi, and gives you the code at check-in. The AC worked, though it was kind of loud. I never did figure out the TV, even after the front desk gave me a different remote.

ROACHES EVERYWHERE! We found roaches in our luggage, and they crawled out when we opened it again. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but smelled strongly of smoke, and the window was open when we arrived. There was chewed gum on the wall, a dirty headboard, an unknown splatter on the door frame, dried blood drops on the bathroom wall, roach feces in every corner, and dirty, stained towels and bedding. The GFCI outlet was broken, and the AC unit was caked with dust, with chunks of unknown matter in its vents. When we complained, management didn’t offer to reclean the room, got an attitude, refused a refund, and ignored booking.com when they tried to reach them. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The manager pointed us to some great places to eat, which was a nice touch. I loved the huge TV, room, and bathroom, and the bed and pillows were so soft. The floor got cold without carpet, but that was the only bad thing. I hated having to leave so early in the morning. It’s a great place to stay.

The AC worked amazingly, but the heater smelled like burnt animal. Parking was very limited, and I didn’t feel too safe in the area. The neighborhood wasn’t the greatest, and the rooms weren’t very clean. The TV kept losing signal and going out, and I had repeated problems with both the TV and remote.
