I stayed for a festival at the Queen Mary and booked through hotels.com. The front desk staff were courteous, and the place is close enough to the Queen Mary. Loaded Cafe is next door, with Jack in the Box and CVS within walking distance. Those were the upsides. The room didn’t look like the website photos. The paint and bedding were different, which wasn’t a huge deal, but the security latch was loose enough that the door still opened past it when engaged. The deadbolt worked. A curtain was partly off its rod and had a cigarette burn, and the dusty AC had broken vents. The shower was very small, despite my being pretty sure the listing showed a tub. There was also a dead bug on the shower curtain. The following week I stayed at City Center by Kasa, which was cheaper, closer to the Queen Mary, and had much better amenities, including a smart TV, good body wash, shampoo, lotion, and awesome decor. That room was way better. I wouldn’t recommend this Motel 6 unless you have no other option for the price.

I’m happy at motel 6 as long as they leave the light on for me. It gives me a clean, trustworthy place to go, and that light takes away the doubt and anxiety. Then I know I’m in, saved, and safe tonight. That matters to me. They’re like family, a Christian family. Jesus is waiting for me too. No Armageddon tonight, just safe, comforting holy love. God bless Harmony and love my soul.

It was a decent room for one night, as long as you don’t expect much. The Motel 6 is in a tougher area, so be prepared.

Everything felt nasty. The surfaces were dirty, the towels stained, and there was hair in the tub. The sheets weren’t fitted and kept coming off. There’s no elevator. I’d rather sleep outside.

The management charged me three times the normal rate and offered just a 20% refund. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The room was filthy, with stains on the sheets and towels, and I found a new roach every night. As I was putting on my shoes at checkout, I spotted a dead one in the bedside furniture. I kept my belongings closed up, or I’m sure I might have carried roaches home. With all that, I’m lucky there weren’t bed bugs. The shower head leaked when I tried to adjust it, and another customer was complaining about their dirty room when I checked in. I was there for Warped Tour in July. The location was close to the venue, which saved me a drive, but I should’ve stayed somewhere else.
