That front desk clerk should not be working with guests if he doesn't know how to welcome them. It was a complete horror show, and I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone. I'd much rather spend my money somewhere that treats guests respectfully, even if it costs more. There are many better places. I went to check a room for one night and got the worst service of my life. When I presented my card, the clerk was extremely rude and said he needed to confirm it was mine. I was using Apple Pay, which makes no difference to the hotel, and anyone can book a room without the card necessarily belonging to the guest. The card was mine and on my phone, but he still insisted I had to prove the Apple Pay was mine. I also asked to see room photos. He pointed at other guests and rudely said, “Do you think these people would stay in bad rooms?” I was extremely embarrassed. I just wanted to see what the room looked like. He could have shown me pictures, explained the room, or politely told me to check the website. Instead, he was disrespectful. Unbelievably rude, and a horrible human being.

It was quiet and clean, reasonably priced, and in a pretty cool part of downtown. I liked that I could walk into the downtown area, head to the beach, or go down to the Pike and Shoreline if I didn't want to drive. I'd definitely visit again.

At night the place felt sketchy, and they charged an extra $30 to check in early. The one good thing is that the beach is within walking distance. Cleanliness could be much better: there was black mold all over the window and bathroom, stains on the sheets, and a broken bathtub drain. The elevator is a safety hazard.

Parking was frustrating. They didn't tell us it was one vehicle per room until we were checking in, then put up a sign the next day saying so and warning that if the lot was full, we'd have to find somewhere else to park. The elevator permit had expired three years ago. Breakfast had nothing but bread, croissants, and coffee.
