Walk to Beach: Florida Keys Gem w/ Ocean Views

The food and service were excellent, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Our waterfront room was cozy, if not especially luxurious, and had lovely views. The location also made it easy to reach both the Atlantic and Gulf sides. For a few days, it was mostly a good stay. The boat ramp needs repair. Several sections have a broken base, which made launching and retrieving our boat difficult. Dock spaces are first come, first served rather than reserved, and we had trouble with another guest who took our dock bumpers to claim our spot, then parked in the middle and left too little room for other boats. The same guest played loud, obscene music over speakers until around midnight. Management should do more to enforce the rules so everyone can have a respectful, enjoyable stay. That situation took away from what could have been a great trip. Numbered, reserved wet slips and better enforcement of basic rules would make the property more peaceful and improve the experience.

I've stayed here several times and love it. It's even the background on my phone. The hotel has everything you could want and is very, very clean, with amazing staff. You can fish, swim, and snorkel, and kids will love it too. One of my favorite places on the planet. Stay here and you won't want to leave. I still dream about those beautiful sunsets!

Our King room with a view was right over the water, with a deck above those gorgeous views of fish, birds, and whatever else might swim by. The room was clean, recently updated, and comfortable, with a nice quiet A/C and a comfy bed. Edgewater Lodge is in a perfect spot for sunsets, right on the water and near beautiful parks and fun activities. They rent jet skis, sell live bait, have lots of fishing spots, and offer a boat ramp and docking for a small fee. There's also a food truck on site Thursday through Monday. We didn't try it, but it was popular and smelled delicious. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend it for all those reasons and more.

Clean, nice place with a pool, boat launch, and BBQ. Every room has a backyard patio facing the water, a good spot to relax, eat, or have a drink. It was a little pricey, though. This is the most I've paid for a hotel room so far.
