Deluxe Inn - Sarasota

Really nice people, clean rooms, and a great location. Best motel around for the price!

The Deluxe Inn Sarasota was a lovely stay. The staff were wonderful and the community had plenty going on. I wasn't expecting the rooms to look so sleek, and they were very clean and inviting. You can hear some noise from the airport next door, though it didn't bother me since I was exhausted. My main gripe was that there wasn't a 'Do Not Disturb' sign in the room.

The son was helpful, but the older couple came across as rude and unfriendly. We saw a few roaches, though the rooms were otherwise okay. They also complained that our grandchildren were there for about an hour while we waited for them to go to daycare. If you need a service animal, be aware they seemed concerned about what other people would think and whether it might lead to a bad review. Then, half an hour before checkout, they told us we couldn't pay to stay another week, so they kept our deposit.

The room was so unbelievably dirty that my kids' feet were completely black after just two minutes without their sandals. I was horrified and disgusted. This was the biggest letdown of our great weekend in Siesta Key. If the place had been hygienic, it might have been okay, but the grossness is the main problem.
