We loved the ocean view and location, and the bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of closet and bedroom storage, and the kitchen appliances worked well for cooking. Still, it was disappointing to spend vacation time reporting problems and waiting for repairs. We stayed in room 250 four years ago and came back because we liked it then. It was sad to see how much it had declined from neglect. The maintenance issues took days to address. On Saturday at check-in, the TV wasn’t working properly, and the shower/tub felt unstable, like a waterbed, because water was trapped between the tub and the bath fitter. We reported both on Sunday and were told a manager would be notified. By Monday we still hadn’t heard anything, so another staff member came to inspect and said the owner would be told. After I emailed Tuesday, the tub got a temporary fix and the couch was repaired. Someone measured the TV and said a replacement would arrive Wednesday, but it didn’t come until Thursday. There were upkeep problems too: stained decorative pillows, outdoor cushions that looked stained or moldy, and visible dust on the bathroom fan, light fixtures, and a closet door. Some decorative items were cracked or broken. I don’t understand why stained pillows and broken decor were left in the unit. They made the room look cheap and rundown. With better upkeep and quicker responses to maintenance concerns, the guest experience could be much better.

Longboat Key is amazing, and this has been one of our best stays after many vacations up and down both Florida coasts. The staff are lovely and incredibly attentive. We saw manatees, stingrays, dolphins, crabs, and plenty of different seashells. There are pool toys and things for kids to make sand castles, plus a lovely pool and quiet rooms. It’s so peaceful here, almost like having a private beach. Honestly, I don’t want to tell anyone about it.

The beach is so quiet, and if you get one of the end rooms it feels like your own private island. The rooms are great, and there’s a heated pool and grills to use. It’s hard to beat stepping straight out to the beach one way and heading to the pool the other.

We’ve been coming for about 12 years and had another great trip. The room was very nice. The pool is beginning to show its age, with some broken chairs and umbrellas, and the area could use another table and a few smaller ones. I did see management walking around the pool, so I’m encouraged an update may be coming. Looking forward to next year, or 2027, depending on our schedule.

Our room is great, though we could use more kitchen towels. The grounds used to be attractive, but we were shocked to see the grass replaced by a deep layer of seashells. Pool upkeep is a problem too. We’re on day five and it hasn’t been cleaned once. Some chairs are broken, there are no tables with an umbrella in the middle, and even a little wind sends the umbrellas over. We’ve been coming here for about 10 years and will probably give it one more try. If maintenance is still lacking, we’ll have to stay somewhere else.
