Lamplighter Motel

After driving for 10 hours, we couldn't find anywhere else that could take us at 4 am. The owners of this cozy hotel were amazing, and their customer service is something we'll always praise. They even let us stay until 1 pm so we could get more sleep. The place was clean and had everything we needed. We recommend it to everyone.

This old gem has been brought back to life. The owners are great people and have worked really hard on it. The rooms are clean and new. It's come a long way.

The room was horribly dirty and had bed bugs. The lady was rude and very unfriendly. Stay far away from this dump. I don't recommend it at all. Just awful, and you might catch something.

The remodeled room looked really nice, and it had a mini fridge and microwave oven. The rooms are priced decently, and I loved the remodel. The bed, though, was very uncomfortable. I also had trouble checking in. I can accept a 1:00 p.m. check-in, but the 10:00 a.m. checkout that goes with it is not cool. A motel of this caliber asking for a $50 deposit doesn't make sense to me. They won't accept cash for it, only a credit or debit card. If you pay cash for the room, I think you should be able to leave a cash deposit. When I arrived, the Innkeeper looked at me like I was going to throw a big party and told me I couldn't have company in the room. He also reminded me there was no smoking, which I already knew. When I asked for a late checkout, they threatened that I'd lose my deposit. I think checkout should be moved to 11:00 a.m. I'd like to return if these things can be adjusted. The 1:00 p.m. check-in can work well for travelers who get into town early and want to rest and unpack, but the 10:00 a.m. checkout isn't good. They really need to get their act together on these issues.
