Knights Inn Longview

The bathroom sinks had no working water, the shower pressure was poor, and the stove didn't work. They also charged different rates and kept my deposit. From the start, they were rude and acted like they didn't want my business. I told them I only needed to stay until my house was ready, but that still seemed to be an issue, and they charge extra for children. I'm grateful for the time I had there, but I didn't like being treated unfairly.

There were nine of us across three rooms this weekend, and every room was really clean and well looked after. The owner was very nice at check-in, and the service was top-notch. When we asked for extra towels and a blanket, the front desk staff brought them over quickly. We’ll definitely stay again. Thanks, Knights Inn, for making our Longview visit a great one!

The room had cigarette holes in the bed comforter, a bedside lamp without a bulb, and broken or falling-apart kitchen drawers. The bulb above the stove was missing too. In the bathroom, a ceiling vent had been moved, leaving the fan and duct exposed. There was no heat from the window units, only AC, fan, or off, so I had to bring an electric blower heater to keep both rooms warm. A dresser drawer was jammed shut, and the door's locking bolt was broken, with only a chain lock securing the room. The 32-inch Roku TVs came with remotes that couldn't navigate menus or select inputs, so normal live TV wasn't watchable. The Priceline photos look much better than the actual place. It was listed as Days Inn, though it's Knights Inn Longview. Expect a $50 deposit, an early check-in fee, a late checkout fee despite checkout being at 11 AM, and a $150 smoking charge. No pets or visitors are allowed. I won't come back and wouldn't recommend it. The place is full of broken, missing, outdated things, and it's not worth the time or money. If you can get a better deal elsewhere, take it, or spend a bit more for somewhere nicer.

The rooms were decent for the price, and the office staff were nice. The owner took care of the things I reported as broken. The kitchenette could use more counter space and a larger ice box, and the rooms would benefit from updating and newer curtains. It was a good stay overall. I just wish the pool had been open, that would've made it five stars.
