Holiday Motel Lordsburg I-10

The place was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and Jim at the front desk got me checked in fast. He was friendly and courteous, too. I first came through town on my way to Tulsa and found this little spot in the middle of nowhere through Priceline. It’s in the historic district of Lordstown, New Mexico. It’s not a Hilton, but if you need somewhere clean, comfortable, and safe, this is it at the holiday motel. I’d stay again if I’m back in the area and recommend it to people I know who are traveling.

For $65 a night, I got a clean room with a big-screen TV, microwave, and refrigerator, plus coffee in the lobby. The staff were friendly, and I slept great. It’s a secure property in a small town, close to I-10. They clearly take good care of the motel.

I love this motel. Traveling with my dog, I appreciated how kindly the front desk staff welcomed us and allowed my pet to stay. The room was comfortable and clean. It’s the best motel I’ve stayed at, and they really are pet-friendly. I’d recommend it to anyone traveling with pets.

I felt uneasy the whole time, like I could be robbed at any moment. The area had a sketchy atmosphere, and the hotel was badly run down. There are several “No Refunds” signs posted in the office, which tells you something. In my room, the TV was small and had no stand or wall mount, so it just leaned awkwardly against the wall. The shower had no door, the coffee maker didn’t work, and there was no safety latch on the door. A hotel worker also barged into my room without knocking. This was the worst hotel I could have stayed at.
