Alamo Motel

We enjoyed our stay, but I don't think we'd return. I'm 52, and this boutique motel may suit a younger crowd better. It's centrally located, with Bell’s, a Michelin star restaurant, just a 1-5 minute walk away, along with Bobs Well Bread bakery, Full of Life Flatbread, and Plenty on Bell. The tub was a nice feature, but the bathroom felt cramped even for my average build. The bed wasn't great, though it wasn't terrible. There are single pane windows, no EV charging onsite, and no maid service even when requested.

Los Alamos was fun to explore, and the location made it easy to get around. We loved our stay, especially the charming room and its clawfoot tub.

The fire pit, games, and places to lounge were a real treat, and the bar looked very nice. Drinks were pricey, though in line with the area. Staff could have been a bit more welcoming and communicative. The hotel was full, but we never heard any noise from other guests. Our room was rustic, clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable; the bathroom could use an update but was fine. We stayed on a weeknight and found it pretty affordable. The TV and remote were so complicated that we couldn't use them. I'd stay again.

The staff made this stay for me. Everyone was genuinely kind, which was such a refreshing change, and Sacheen deserves a special mention for impeccable service and being such a lovely person. We needed a last minute place while traveling back to Los Angeles from SLO, and the price was economical. The rooms were clean, good, and comfortable. The yard and little bar are great spots to hang out, and they look romantic when lit up in the evening. I'd stay here again.
