Best Motel Los Angeles Sylmar

We felt watched the whole time, as if someone was constantly monitoring what we were doing. We aren't hoodlums or lowlifes, but the way we were treated made us really uncomfortable. Checkout at 10am was much earlier than the 11am or noon times we usually see at hotels and motels. We'd paid $100 a few months earlier, while the rate here was $85. For a motel rather than a hotel, we thought it was overpriced. I'm not staying again.

This is a very clean, family-run hotel, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I came here after problems at another motel nearby and was glad I did. They even helped me look for a wallet I'd recently lost. There's also a bit of Hollywood history here: some parts of Adam’s family were filmed at the hotel. Ask the staff and they'll tell you about it.

The AC barely moved any air, and after two hours the room was still 94 degrees. I paid $120 for the night, got no refund, and ended up sleeping in my car. When I asked the owner to switch rooms, he came in with his Indian wife, put his hand over the unit, and kept saying, “LOOK LOOK IT BLOWS COLD LOOK.” It was trash. Try the motel next door.

Avoid this place. There were bed bugs and roaches. At 1am, after a long drive, we just wanted to sleep, but roaches were crawling around and seemed to be getting near our ears. At checkout, I spoke with the manager at 10am. He said he'd shown me the room and I'd accepted it. Why would I accept one with bugs? An employee also said they were too busy to clean all the rooms. My son got bites on his back from bed bugs. Save yourself the hassle.
