Dondo Stay

The room was nice, and the rest of it looked very clean to me. People were quiet and friendly, and having a laundry machine in the house was a big plus. The shower was visibly dirty, with hair and scum, so bring shower shoes. The location is okay distance-wise, and the price is fair. My main frustration was getting locked out because the outside and room access codes changed several times. The original instructions had the wrong codes, so I had to call management. They responded fairly quickly and fixed it within about 15-30 minutes each time.

The rooms were cozy, and the price was acceptable, but my four stays were uneven. Every visit after the first came with a problem. Check-in details arrive by text, including the room number and entry code. Twice I had to ask for that information, and once they sent me to the wrong room, which was occupied. They later said their automated messages had made an error. The advertised hair dryer was missing. I was told it would be supplied for my next visit, but it still wasn’t there when I returned two weeks later. Cleanliness also varied: there was old trash in the drawers, plus hair and dust clumps on the floor. The experience was unpleasant and didn’t live up to what was advertised.

We had a lovely time here. The neighborhood is in a great spot, and the room was nice, with our own bathroom just outside it. Sharing the kitchen with other guests wasn’t a problem at all. I’d recommend staying here.

The house is clean and the setup is a cool idea, which makes this a shame. My room had been tidied, but the sheets were clearly used and covered in hair. The contact number answered quickly, but they didn’t help resolve the problem. Have a backup plan.
