You have to pay for multiple days before they’ll help with anything. Some rooms have appliances that don’t work, prices keep going up, and nothing gets renewed. Screens in any screened window have huge holes, so rooms get bugs or stuffy air. The service felt shady, too. He wouldn’t give his name, so I couldn’t press charges.

We paid $150 for two beds and got a terrible room. The walls were stained, the carpet was dirty, and the towels and washcloths were yellow, brown, and black with grime or what looked like makeup stains. The pillows were stained too, and I doubt the sheets get changed. In the middle of the night, around 2 am, my dad woke up with bites about an inch across. At first we thought maybe it was a spider, but after he woke again and turned on the light, he found a bed bug. He was bitten 11 times on his neck, back, butt, and arm. I wish I could add the photos here, but email me if you want to see them. The owners asked why we hadn’t told them right when it happened. It was late, and after a three-hour drive we were exhausted and not the sort of people who complain. We showed them the bites, but the woman didn’t seem to care. The man acted like he did, but seemed to just follow her lead. We felt they didn’t believe us. I’d read the bad reviews about bugs if I’d seen them in time. The people leaving good reviews are wrong. For $150 a night I expect clean towels and no bugs, and there don’t seem to be many good hotels in the Gardena area. Take it from me and others who’ve shared their experience. Don’t stay here.

There are roaches smashed all over the walls, and bed bugs crawling around the bed headboard. I’m so creeped out I’m sleeping with all the lights on after writing this. The walls were poorly cleaned and the floor was filthy. At $150 a night, this is awful. I’m disappointed. I’ve got plenty of photos to show this place isn’t worth staying at. Run.

I keep coming back here whenever I need a room down there. I feel comfortable, and the rates are reasonable. The rooms aren’t always that clean, but it’s a good place for a night or two.
