Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City

We’re on the 15th floor and the city view is great. Reception let us choose a low or high room, and of course we asked for the best view. Universal Studios was only an eight-minute walk back. We’ve stayed at the Sheraton here too, and the room feels quite similar. Ours has a king bed, plenty of space, a big TV and bathroom, coffee, and a fridge. I thought there’d be a microwave, especially at $250 a night, since we like to save leftovers and heat them later. No microwave, so cold food tonight. We’ve already made two trips to the bar in less than 18 hours. Around 10 last night we ordered loaded tater tots and chicken wings, both really good, and they came in about 15 minutes while we had a drink. There’s a heated outdoor pool and hot tub too, which we plan to use this evening. We’re having a great time.

I was here for work and didn’t get to try the hotel amenities. The room was clean and really comfortable, more like a studio apartment, with a full couch, desk, and roomy bathroom.

The location worked perfectly, and the staff were friendly and quick to help whenever needed. My room was comfortable and nicely equipped, too. I had a fantastic stay at Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City and would absolutely recommend it.

The room was very clean and kept tidy whenever we came back. But the AC wasn’t doing a good job, and the shower pressure was weak. If we stay again, I’ll take my chances on a different room somewhere else.
