Hollywood Inn Express North

I couldn’t be happier with this motel. The rooms are roomy, the staff are attentive and courteous, and the food is really good. The TV and internet both come through clearly with a strong signal.

Street noise carried into the room, but it wasn’t a big problem. We had no trouble finding a spot in their small parking lot, and the Wi-Fi was handy. The office staff were friendly, check-in and checkout were quick, and our room was clean with enough space for our family of six to spend time together. It was a great stay.

The room had two beds but just one chair at the table and a single key. The little fridge barely worked and wouldn’t cool or freeze anything. The shower pressure was weak, the towels were polyester, and there was no bathroom mat. The location and parking are the main draw, but I didn’t feel what we got was worth the money. Pay a little more and you can find better options.

The location was good, the room was fairly large, and the receptionist was pleasant and quick. That was about it. The carpet was disgusting, the room looked dirty and smelled of smoke, and the smoke detector wasn’t even connected. The bed was extremely hard, and the bedding looked like it had old blood stains and was awful to sleep on, though it smelled clean. The TV only showed “No Signal,” and I couldn’t get anything else to come up with the remote. The place looked nothing like the hotel photos suggested, and badly needed upkeep. The receptionist even seemed surprised we’d stayed when we checked out. I really don’t think it’s worth the price. My friend paid a little extra for Cara Hotel, within walking distance, and had a much better stay. If you’re looking for a room, I’d spend a bit more and stay there. The difference was night and day.
