Paradise Inn & Suites

I like that some rooms have a living room and a separate bedroom. The place is usually pretty quiet. They're housing some homeless people there right now, which hasn't been as bad as it sounds. Every once in a while there may be an argument, and security has to step in.

I feel lucky I found this place when I arrived in LA at 9 at night with no idea where I'd stay. Score!! The room was very clean and updated, with granite counters in the bathroom and tile and laminate floors. The bed was clean and comfortable, and I slept great. I also loved the old-time courtyard and the spectacular architecture of this Historic Culver City Motel. Lots of charm and character.

Great location, but please don't waste your money here. The rooms are disgusting, with bedbugs and roaches. I hadn't even been there 24 hours when bedbugs had eaten me up. When I reported it and asked for another room, they pretended not to understand English. They said there was nothing they could do except spray, set off bombs, and have me come back in a few hours. The housekeepers had extremely rude, nasty attitudes. The owners and management were just as rude and acted like they could treat you any way they wanted. They take your money happily but provide horrible customer service. The place should be shut down or checked because I'm sure they're violating all kinds of rules that could be reported. This was the worst experience ever. I'll keep trying until they're shut down and reported. The rooms aren't worth anywhere near what they charge per night, and I was very disappointed and pissed. The place and the family who own and run it are disgusting.

The area was decent and the price was relatively low, but the motel's quality wasn't good. At least I got a good night's rest. There was a smoke smell at first, though it had gone away by the time I returned that night. The shower was usable, but its head was broken, the temperature was hard to control, and the drain was clogged. Water slowly collected around my feet like a shallow tub. There was only one trash can, a little one about a foot high by the bathroom sink.
