Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel

The room rate is good, and the location near LAX is convenient. Just check the tub drain before you shower, since ours was very slow and left us standing in a lot of water. Take an Uber, too. Self-parking is $74/night, unless that feels like a bargain to you. If those things work for you, it’s a great find.

A canceled connection sent us looking for a place on a whim, and staying here turned out to be a great move during the delay on my Mom's 70th birthday trip. Saul greeted us with macarons, sangria, and a smile as soon as we walked in. Then Shenny welcomed us at check-in and did everything she could to make our short stay feel special. Their kindness meant a lot to my mom and me. If you need somewhere nice for a special occasion, give this place serious consideration.

Check-in was fine and the shuttle service staff were great, but there are other hotels nearby. We’d stayed at Hyatt regency last time, but it didn’t have the availability we needed, so we booked here and probably wouldn’t do it again. There was a dirty washcloth left in the shower, and water cost more here than at LAX itself. I understand paying for convenience, but $6/bottle is excessive.

The waiter at the restaurant downstairs, across from the front desk, was amazing. He was attentive, friendly, helpful, and seemed to anticipate what we needed before we knew ourselves. He was working Sunday evening near closing, and I only wish I’d gotten his name. The rooms and views were lovely too. From the 8th floor I could see quite a bit, even though Los Angeles isn’t that great to look at. The hotel is right by LAX and has a very convenient shuttle between the airport and hotel. I’d love to visit again and have the same experience.
