Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Century Boulevard

The service was phenomenal. I called for extra towels and had them within five minutes. We needed somewhere close to the airport before an early flight, and the spacious room, comfortable beds, and quick, reliable shuttle worked out perfectly. Despite being near the planes arriving and departing, it was super quiet inside. We had a great overnight stay.

The room faced the airport, and you could see aircraft activity, but it stayed quiet inside. Our family found the suite very practical, with a kitchenette, stainless steel appliances, a small stovetop, and a dishwasher. Two queen beds and a sleeper sofa fit two adults, a teenager, and a preschooler comfortably. We also had breakfast included, plus a pool and fire pit, and the regular shuttle made getting to and from LAX easy. There were convenient food options on the property, including Starbucks, Jersey Mike’s, and a pizza restaurant. The lobby store let us charge purchases to the room, though I suggested paying by credit card directly since charging things to the room could raise the total cost. The delivery robot was a fun modern touch, bringing small items up to guest rooms and using the elevators on its own. We stayed at Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Century Boulevard on a recent family trip to Los Angeles. It was a smooth, family-friendly choice for a larger group, and I'd stay here again.

We spent a few weeks here while repairs were being done at our house, and the staff made us and our dog Elsa feel welcome. They went out of their way for the whole family. Nina and Randy especially made it feel like home, and my daughter loved swimming every day and getting to know the wonderful staff. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

The main thing I struggled with was the keyed elevator. Nobody explained it, and after a long day I was fighting for my life trying to figure it out. 🤣 A heads-up would've helped, though maybe I just needed two more brain cells. Breakfast was kind of disappointing. I've had a delight at another hotel in the same chain, and I'm not sure if this one felt sparse because the serving area is so large or because there just wasn't much food. I imagine a lot of people go to the Starbucks next door instead. I also noticed the fridge was missing its glass shelf, but forgot to leave maintenance a note. It didn't affect my stay since I didn't use it. When I turned up the shower temperature in the middle of the night, the pipes rattled badly. Those issues didn't really change my stay, which was comfortable, clean, and safe. I'd absolutely come back.
