It’s an older hotel, but the location is great and the staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating. My room was furnished and clean, and the bathroom was stocked with fresh soap and conditioner. They also provided free coffee. It’s not fancy, though it’s not the most expensive place either. I had a great stay.

I wouldn’t stay here again. The room was disgusting, despite the $200 deposit they require. We booked a nonsmoking room with two beds, but it smelled like smoke, the carpet was covered in stains, and the walls were very dirty. It felt like the owners were looking for ways to add charges, including, I believe, $20 for each person over the guest limit. They count the bathroom towels, which is understandable, but charge extra if one goes missing, depending on its size. After checkout they had me sign a paper and wouldn’t give me a copy. When I asked to photograph it, they covered part of it and got angry when I moved the cover to take the picture. We booked through Priceline because of the location and hadn’t seen the reviews. The low price wasn’t worth it.

Never again. The rooms smelled strongly of cat urine, were cramped and stuffy, and had old furniture. This was nothing like the high-rise skyscraper shown in the ads, and the area was run-down. There was no room service, breakfast, or diner. Unlike most of the major airport hotels, they had no bus service. I waited until 1 a.m. for an airport pickup that never came and was left stranded, even though I’d booked well ahead. Wouldn’t recommend it.

I needed somewhere affordable near LAX for a last-minute night before an early flight, with private parking. I’m a budget-minded solo woman traveler, and LA felt expensive compared with Washington. This place was about 10 minutes from the airport, convenient, and felt safe. Booking online got me a better rate, check-in was quick, and the $100 deposit was returned at checkout. My room faced the street, which made it easy to unload my car after a few days driving around California. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was comfortable and handy. I had a king bed, bathroom, and kitchen, though there were no utensils and I had my camping gear. The shower got warm, but the water flow was slow, so rinsing my hair took longer. The sheets looked clean, though I noticed a tear in the white sheet and a long dark hair between the mattress and top sheet. I’m not a freak, and I want to think the maid got her hair caught while changing the bedding. The AC worked well and was a little loud, but I slept through the night without outside noise bothering me. There’s a pool by the main entrance, but I didn’t use it. At 6 a.m. I felt bad ringing the lobby bell and waking the woman for checkout, though I guess that’s expected. I was pleased with the stay: I slept well, felt safe in a big city, and paid an affordable price. Don’t expect Hilton service or luxury, but if you need a place near the airport and away from crowds, I’d stay here again.
