Tarzana Inn

The warm welcome from Victor & wife at the front desk and the kindness of the whole team made this stay stand out. Tarzana Inn was spotless, honestly the cleanest place I can remember staying. I just got home and already feel sure I'll come back. I'd happily recommend it.

I've stayed here plenty of times and keep coming back because the rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are friendly, and both the location and parking work well for me. The rates are good, too. Just be aware the property is showing its age, and some rooms get noisy.

My father ended up being charged twice for one night. I booked his stay through Expedia, and when he arrived and said he had a reservation, the hotel made another one without telling him. Then they treated the Expedia booking as a no-show. When I called about getting the extra charge refunded, they said they couldn't do anything because it was a sold-out night. That doesn't make sense to me if they had found another room for my father. They also claimed he hadn't mentioned his reservation, which is simply untrue. My father isn't very good at English, but he isn't a fool. The manager told me, “maybe your dad should just learn English.” That was unprofessional and racist, especially from a manager who is a minority himself. They said it was a cheap stay, but that double charge made it cost more. I'd rather pay more somewhere that treats people decently, whatever language they speak or where they come from. Avoid this place. They take their own word as proof and seem to be trying to charge customers twice.

The room was clean and the folks were nice. It worked well for the night before the Mustangs at Warner Center, just a 7 minute drive to the show.
