That was the worst room I’ve EVER stayed in. The smell was so bad I wanted to vomit. The shower filled with water, the toilet wouldn’t flush, curtain rods were hanging off the windows, and the window screens were broken. I wouldn’t stay there for free, let alone pay $120 a night for what felt like a roach motel. Rooms like this shouldn’t be rented out with false promises of comfort. The owners should be ashamed of hosting such a run-down property. A business needs to have integrity. The room was unlivable. Vista, do better!

As soon as my wife and I got in from the airport, we took a shower. My wife saw someone looking at her through the vent directly above the shower. Anyone in any of the 20 rooms could access it through the crawl space, since the rooms are all connected. I spoke to the owner, but they didn’t go look and didn’t seem concerned at all. The place also looks like a trap house, didn’t feel safe, and had cockroaches.

One guy was helpful before I arrived, but the guy working here wasn’t. My first room key didn’t work, and after they moved me, the second one didn’t either. I can’t leave without keeping the door unlocked or risk getting locked out. The doors and handles are terrible, and the Wi-Fi barely works. The TV wasn’t working either. I asked for help and was told the man working at night could help. A resident next door was peeing outside his room and window with his genitals exposed, then went back inside. And there were roaches too. This was $135-$150 a night. I’ll never come back, and I’ll keep posting until I get some kind of compensation.

The one good thing was that I got a refund for the two nights I didn’t stay after leaving following one sleepless night. I freaked out over the “waterbug” infestation in my room, huge roaches. I didn’t explain why I was leaving early because they already know there’s a terrible bug problem and clearly don’t care enough to deal with it. If you need a cheap room and can handle a mass of fist-sized roaches appearing after dark, this is the place for you.

It was a nasty, unsafe experience. The room was dirty, and I saw three roaches in the hour I was there. The windows didn’t have locks, and the screens were ripped.
