Naryn Guest house

The room was pretty clean at check-in, but by the next morning it smelled horribly because somebody nearby had been smoking constantly, including weed. I don’t smoke, so it wasn’t me. The place was also too loud at night, and I couldn’t sleep until 4am. Don’t trust those pictures, it’s a terrible place.

The managers who run the guest house were very nice. My partner changed her mind about the second night she’d booked, and they kindly refunded her. The area isn’t the best, and parking is on the street, not private. I had an okay experience. It was my first and last time, though I might consider staying again.

I paid and showed up on time, but nobody was there to let me into the room. The door was locked, no one answered after I rang three times, and I waited 15 minutes without seeing anyone arrive or leave. There were no signs saying it was an inn or that someone would be back soon. Four hours after check-in began, the owner messaged only, “When you checking in?” She then claimed she’d sent detailed instructions and said I should have kept trying to contact her. It wasn’t my job to chase someone down just to get access to a room I’d paid for.

We booked one night, with check-in listed as available until 11pm, and arrived at 7pm to find nobody there. There wasn’t even a number we could call to ask if we had the right place. Eventually someone sitting outside the back entrance gave us the owner’s number. She could hardly understand us and said check-in was at 5pm and we’d missed it. She said she’d come down in 45 minutes to an hour, but never arrived. We had to get a refund and find somewhere else to stay. Don’t waste your time or money, especially if you’ll arrive later. The property itself looked nice, but the inside seemed a little outdated. I can’t say what the rooms are like.
