Sun Star Inn Los Banos

At 4:30 PM, the lobby was a “night window,” and the sign said “No shirt, no shoes, no service,” as if I needed shoes just to stand outside. The motel also lacked a hand towel and facial tissues. Google and Expedia showed very few motels in Los Banos, but the town is full of them. I’m sure I could have paid a little more and found somewhere less basic.

We stayed a couple of days for work, and the staff checked on us now and then to make sure everything was going well. They were very friendly, and the rooms were clean. It’s a family ran business and very clean for what you pay. I’d 10/10 recommend it to anyone traveling through beautiful Los Banos for any reason.

I come here every year for the fair and love these people. Great service, rooms, and immenities. Best motel ever!!!

The cable was nice, and the microwave and refrigerator were there. The cooler worked fine and the water pressure was decent. But the room needed a lot of work. The front desk lady was very nice, yet the smoke alarm, ironing board, and alarm clock were missing. There were stains on the bedding, bugs on the bathroom ceiling, and no fitted sheets. At $60 per night, I felt it was only worth $25. I wasn’t comfortable sleeping under the blankets, so it was a rough night. It was nothing like the website claims, and I definitely should have stayed elsewhere.
