The porch rocking chairs and the fall leaves made for such a relaxing weekend away from the DC area's bustle. My husband and I were there for a dance retreat, and the Inn and grounds felt really cozy. Breakfast was home-cooked and delicious every morning, with three courses, so come hungry! Even with the holiday weekend fully booked, Michael and Patrick looked after everyone so thoughtfully. They greeted us with wine, cheese, and crackers, suggested local things to do, and checked in to see if we needed anything. We had a great stay and hope to come back soon.

Michael and Patrick even surprised us with a bottle of champagne in our room for our anniversary. Such a sweet touch. They and their animals and friends were all so friendly, and the whole weekend felt like spending time with friends who happen to cook really well. We had a lovely stay at the Inn. Now we're wondering when we can return. Go ahead and book a weekend, you won't regret it.

The breakfast was incredible, and Patrick and Michael were attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The Main House, cottage, and grounds were beautiful. Even if you aren't staying overnight, stop by the General Store, it had everything and more. We're already looking forward to going back.

The "Springhouse" was so peaceful and cozy, especially with its own screened porch. Everything was spotless when I arrived, and Michael and Patrick greeted me with a glass of wine. They were wonderful hosts. I'll definitely visit again.

We stayed in the Smokehouse and loved it. Patrick and Michael, the new owners, were delightful to talk with, and welcomed us with a drink when we arrived. After dinner at Lost River Grill, just half a mile down the road, we came back and spent a good while chatting with them and hearing their stories. I'd recommend eating there too. Breakfast's mushroom omelet was phenomenal. We're excited to return next summer, and to see the general store and cafe open.
