The Eagles Nest Inn

Communication was easy even though there wasn’t on-site staff. They replied quickly to my texts and made sure we had what we needed. My family and I had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. The inside was a surprise after the building looked so uninviting from outside that we wondered if it was vacant. A tall, beautiful wooden staircase welcomed us, and the room was spacious and relaxing, with a red brick accent wall, antique charm, and subtle modern touches. The bathroom was clean, roomy, and comfortable too. The one downside was the old, non-adjustable showerhead. The water pressure was excellent, but it sprayed a harsh mist that soaked the bathroom floor. It needs replacing.

I liked how the building and rooms blend old and new in a tasteful way. The rooms were spacious and clean, the bathrooms were nice, and check-in was simple with no trouble using the codes or locks. It’s close to the river, which was nice, though there isn’t much else nearby. The common area has a fridge and microwave, but I wish the room had its own. The room wasn’t hot, but after being out in the heat all day, a bigger A/C unit and a cooler room would’ve been nice. It was a relaxing stay, and I’d come back if I’m in the area.

We stayed at the Eagle's Nest for four nights while visiting home. The room was comfortable and roomy, with a mini fridge, coffee, and snacks. The showerhead pressure was our only complaint, it was so intense that our teens chose to take baths. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay and we’ll be back.

I love the 1800s feel with its fresh, clean, modern touches, and the rates are better than most. We really enjoyed our stay and had no issues. There’s no front desk, so you check in at the restaurant next door. That only becomes a problem if you arrive after hours, though there’s a 24-hour number to call if needed. If you want an experience where you stay somewhere with character, not just a room, I’d highly recommend it.
