The way the refund and facility issues were handled left me especially disappointed. Continental breakfast was advertised, but the hotel didn’t provide it, even though they seemed to have the supplies and ability to do so. The ice machines were broken too. I called at least five times about the refund, but was repeatedly told the manager wasn’t available, my requests for a return call went unanswered, and Booking.com got no response. We canceled after a hotel employee told us the pool and hot tub were out of order and that we could cancel for a full refund. Those amenities were the main reason we chose the property, so this was the hotel’s issue, not a change of plans on our part. There were other maintenance problems throughout the stay. The elevator was broken on arrival, key cards kept malfunctioning across the hotel, and most exterior doors didn’t work, leaving everyone to use the main entrance. The pool area was gross when open, with debris and eyelashes along the edge. Our room clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was a cockroach, used condoms under the bed, and feces still visible on the side of the toilet. Customer service wasn’t much better. One front desk employee seemed to care about doing the job, but the other was nowhere to be found when help was needed. This place is poorly maintained and managed, far below what guests should expect. I wouldn’t stay again and can’t recommend it.

We needed a room in a pinch, and this one was adequate. The front desk woman was friendly and helpful. The shower got hot, the AC cooled the room, the bed was comfortable, and the sheets looked clean. For a budget hotel, the stained comforters and extra pillows without cases, which looked long overdue for replacement, weren’t a complete surprise.

The employee on duty treated me very well, even after I decided I couldn’t stay, but I’m still waiting for my refund. I’d booked a little weekend away with my three kids. At check-in, they charged a $75 deposit on top of what Booking.com had already charged for the stay. The room was in rough shape. Almost all the lights were out, except the bathroom light and one lamp. The couch and mattress were stained, the wall trim was hanging off, and someone else’s hair was still in the tub. The last straw was a live cockroach on the inside door handle. Looking around the room’s edges, I also found dead cockroaches. I do want to say the woman who helped me was very professional, and the staff on duty handled me well when I chose not to stay.

I checked in Friday and left Saturday, but my deposit still hasn’t come back. Someone from the hotel also charged my card after I checked out. I’ll be contacting the police about fraud. Management replied after I posted, but I still haven’t received the deposit. As a veteran myself, I especially encourage other veterans to avoid this sham hotel.
