Quality Inn & Suites Loves Park near Rockford

My room smelled, the sheets weren't clean, and there were cockroaches. The front desk did nothing when I reported them, and I still haven't gotten my deposit back for their mistakes. This place is completely filthy. The building needs to come down or new management needs to get in and clean it up immediately. I will never return. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SLEEP WITH ROACHES!

The room smelled like vomit, the curtains had come off the wall, and the bathroom fan kept switching on and off by itself. When I realized I'd booked the wrong number of days, I had to rush back to the hotel and leave. They had no spare rooms and told me good luck finding another hotel. I left some belongings behind and called, but after asking me to call back in half an hour, they still couldn't find them when I explained what they were and where to look. At check-in, a couple were yelling at the desk about their room's condition. I had booked ahead for a conference, and what a mistake. The rooms were bad, the customer service was horrible, and it was the worst experience ever.

The bed was just about acceptable, and the breakfast was about the same. I could hear little noises most of the night, especially from the in-room fridge, but playing sleep sounds through a Bluetooth speaker helped. It was a cheaper hotel, so I guess you get what you pay for. I might stay again, but I'm not sure.

It took a long time for anyone to come to the desk for check-in, even after I called their phone three times. The room was disgusting: there was excrement or some other bodily fluid on the bathroom walls, stains on the comforter, dirty dusty curtains, dust on the bedside table, and something splattered on the lampshades. The mattress was old and pilled, and the place needs a facelift. The guests were unruly too. Kids played soccer in the hallway, and there was constant banging and running around above and next to us for the whole stay. I called the front desk, but they didn't take care of it. The walls are very thin. It was terrible.
