Village Inn

This motel has a nostalgic Americana feel, set on the northbound side of US 29 about an hour south of Charlottesville. The proprietor was pleasant and helpful, and the scenery was beautiful. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location worked well for a tired traveler. There was a big TV, a mini fridge, a tub with shower, and lots of outlets to recharge devices.

The hotel was quiet and the rooms were clean. The owner, whose name I can’t remember, was super friendly. We were pleased with our stay and found it lived up to the reviews we’d read online. We even befriended some travelers next door who go there often and said they’ve never had a bad experience.

We stopped here briefly on our drive up from Florida and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was. For the price, it was very clean and comfortable, with clean linens and a bed that was comfy enough. The bathroom and the rest of the place were also very clean and quiet, though we didn’t use the shower. It’s right off the highway, so convenient, but still felt safe and private enough that we weren’t worried about anyone taking the bikes off our car. We hadn’t booked online and paid $91 when we arrived. We’d stay again and recommend it.

The owners were considerate and even offered to make coffee at the office. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the quaint room was clean. The inn is conveniently located, and there was good wifi, plenty of hot water and towels, and a mini fridge. It’s right beside a busy highway, so keep that in mind if you’re hoping for somewhere quiet and secluded. I’d be happy to stay here again.
