Ocean Breeze

We paid more than $1,500 for this unit, and it was one of the worst vacation stays my family has had. There was a strong odor, stained bedding, dead ants in the sheets, and cleanliness problems. The air conditioning had an extremely dirty, clogged filter and visible buildup that made us worry about mold. We also saw possible mold concerns elsewhere. We were traveling with children, and we didn’t feel safe running the A/C, so they had to put up with the heat and discomfort. No family should have to spend a vacation worrying about air quality or whether their lodging is safe. We took photos and videos right away and reported what we found. Housekeeping came, but later we were told there were “no issues.” Our concerns were dismissed, and no real solution was offered. We weren’t moved to another unit, given a refund, or offered reasonable accommodation despite reporting what we believed were serious health concerns. We eventually left and drove to Destin. At the TRU Hotel, we paid roughly half as much for a clean, safe, comfortable room without these problems. This rental charged premium prices but didn’t deliver what was promised. We paid over $1,500, got no refund, room change, or resolution, and had to pay for lodging elsewhere. If a company dismisses documented safety concerns and leaves a family with children without a solution, people should know before booking. I would strongly discourage anyone from staying at any FUNQUEST VR locations.

The place was peaceful, quiet, and very clean, with lots of space and storage. It was beautifully decorated, and we had everything we needed. The pool was awesome too, with water that felt soft and clean.
