The food and atmosphere were fantastic, and the place felt super cozy. We were seated right away. Mitchell made the dinner especially nice: he was attentive, checked in regularly, kept the food coming, and gave us spot-on recommendations.

We left Homestyle in Ludlow very happy. The portions are generous and served family-style, so plan accordingly. We'd hoped to get duck, but they had run out, and what we ordered still exceeded expectations. The crispy roasted potatoes and ratatouille risotto were delicious, fresh, wholesome, and full of flavor without the potatoes being oily. You can tell real thought goes into the food. After a long day skiing, the cushioned seats felt especially good compared with other places. The restaurant was cozy, and everyone was warm and attentive. Our server was awesome, and the bartender even wished my son a happy birthday. They brought out his carrot cake with a candle and celebrated with us, a small gesture that made the evening personal and memorable. The service was easily the best we had in Ludlow, noticeably better than at places like Stemwinder and Calcutta. Quick food too. We'd highly recommend making a reservation if you're in town. The comfort, service, and clean, delicious food all came together.

The mussels, maple cabbage, risotto, and fettuccini are some of our menu favorites, and don't skip dessert. The black cherry crème brûlée was a panty dropper, pardon my French! Portions are big enough to share, so make a reservation. This little gem is no secret and can be hard to get into on a whim. The food is off the charts, and the cocktails are unique. Tonight Mitchell served us. He was charming, attentive, and engaging without being overbearing. Whenever our cups got close to empty, he'd appear as if by telepathy, take care of us, and then disappear again. The building and rooms are darling too. Our room had its own bathroom with a shower. It's still our favorite restaurant in the area, 10/10. I wish I'd taken food pictures, but I was too busy shoveling it into my gob!

We walked in and got seats at the bar for dinner. The drinks and food were alright. I liked the steak and beets, but the sticky ribs were too salty and otherwise short on flavor. They were inconsistent too: some fell off the bone, while others were dry and undercooked. The waiter asked whether we needed takeout boxes before our main dish had arrived.

A Ludlow resident recommended Homestyle Restaurant, and we're glad we went. We chose a private room and met Mitch, who explained how the shared plates worked and how many dishes made sense for our table. His suggestions were great: the Schnitzel and Cavatelli were both incredible, and my boyfriend said Mitch's drink recommendation, The Good Boy, might have been the best drink he'd ever had. The room was cozy, everything we ate and drank was delicious, and we can't wait to stop by again next year.
