Timber Inn Motel

The owner gave us several restaurant suggestions, and we tried three of them. All were great choices. We stayed upstairs, where the rooms were clean, though a little dark. We could hear the neighbors talking through the somewhat thin walls, but luckily they settled down before it got too late. Good value overall.

We had two ground floor rooms, both updated and spotless: Deluxe 2 Bed # 8 and JR Queen Suite (Queen / Living Room w/ Sleeper Sofa #1). Glenn, the innkeeper, was excellent and quick to respond. For a family ski trip, the location worked really well, about 2 miles from Okemo, with Sam’s Steakhouse and Mr Darcy’s Bar & Burger across the street. Weekend and holiday shuttle service is available if needed. It’s not Jackson Gore Inn, but it costs half as much. I’ll definitely be back.

I wouldn't stay here again. The rooms feel stuffy, with no fans for air circulation, and the bathroom fan is old. The shower curtain blows open while the water is running, leaving water on the floor. You can hear everything between rooms, and the floors creak a lot. There are doors between some rooms that felt concerning, plus a standalone mini fridge in the small room and cords all over behind the TV and dresser, which didn't seem safe. The place smells musty, and the floors are dirty and worn. The wood paneling looks dated and ugly for a motel, even with the log cabin theme. For the nightly price, guests deserve more. I know it gets cold here, but tourists come from all over, and some of us have a hard time sleeping without moving air.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were great for the price. I left my sweatpants behind, and they offered to mail them to me, which I really appreciated. It’s a great place right by the mountain, and I’ll be coming back to the Timber Inn Motel.
