Best Western Plus Longhorn Inn & Suites

The bed was really comfortable, and the linens and towels were clean. I didn't see any insects, which was a big plus. Staff at the front desk were courteous and quick, and they kept the breakfast area clean and stocked, too.

The one downside was the humid hallway. I think they'd just fixed an AC problem, and there were dehumidifiers running out there. Otherwise, we had a great stay and will return. We accidentally left clothes in the closet, and staff had retrieved them by the time we got back about an hour later. The rooms were clean, smelled fresh, and had a microwave, fridge, alarm clock, table and chairs, TV, dresser, end tables, armchair, and a single-cup Keurig. Breakfast was the highlight: real scrambled eggs, sausage patties and links, coffee, orange and apple juice, a Texas-shaped waffle, muffins, fresh fruit, and cereal. The dining chairs were comfortable, too. It was far better than the bad hotel breakfasts I've had, almost restaurant quality. Ashley, the manager, spent time chatting with guests while keeping an eye on everyone and making sure they were comfortable. She clearly cares about the guests and the motel's reputation.

I was passing through and stayed one night. Check-in was quick and friendly, and there was even a Manager's Reception that evening, though I didn't go and skipped breakfast as well. The room was clean and quiet, with a little highway noise. A good place at a fair price, and I'd recommend it and stay again.

The location just off the highway was convenient, and the hotel was clean. But our room felt damp and was extremely musty. The dehumidifier was full when we arrived, so we emptied it. When we brought the problem to the front desk, they didn't seem to care.
