A few weeks ago, my friend and I stayed at the Days Inn while it was being renovated. We have to give them credit for doing a great job on the renovation, but the hallway was extremely hot, with no air moving through it. Our room didn't seem to have been cleaned well. There were food wrappers and utensils on the carpet, plus food in a corner. The shower pressure was poor and there was definitely no hot water, although the sink had plenty of hot water. After we left for lunch at TOASTED YOLK, the manager called my friend and accused him of taking towels. That wasn't true. The room hadn't even had all the towels the manager said were supposed to be there.

I was there for one night because a power outage at home meant no air conditioning, and the price was fair. The room was clean, and after I fiddled with the air conditioner controls for a few minutes, it finally started working. At first nothing happened when I turned it on. Everything else was good. I went back home early once the power came back, so I can't say how the breakfast was, though I know they serve one.

They entered our room despite the do not disturb sign and threw away my Tupperware containers.

The room had the basics I needed, and for about $103 a night including tax and fees, it was well worth it. It was small but convenient, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. The TV had plenty of channels, which suited me since I'm a TV buff. There was also a refrigerator, microwave, phone, hair dryer, USB charging ports at the bottom of the bedside lamps, and a desk with its own lamp and charging port. I had to leave home while the AC was replaced after 24 years. It was a Trane heat pump that had served me well, but it was too hot to stay in the house. La Quinta Inn was my first choice, but it was full, so I tried Days Inn hoping for a room with AC. 😂

The location worked out great, with restaurants all around and Walmart right across the street. Our room was very nice and clean, and the staff were super friendly.
