Cascade Lodge is our go-to when we ski at Lutsen. It's a short drive to the resort, and there's a full restaurant and bar next door, so we can get a hot breakfast before hitting the slopes. It has the comforts we need at the start and end of the day, and everyone here is very friendly.

After long days of hiking, I loved relaxing at the lodge and looking out at Lake Superior. It's a great spot for a solo hiking trip: the room was small but clean and comfortable, and trails start right outside the doors. The staff were friendly and helpful. A quiet place to disconnect for a while.

We ate at cascade pub today and had a really nice young waiter. He kept checking on us and making sure the food tasted alright. He had a tattoo, and I just wanted to say the service was great!

The room and service were good, and there's a good restaurant here too. I also enjoyed being able to walk to beautiful falls. The area around it is lovely, with great hiking, cute towns, and good places to eat. I wish I'd had a full week or two to stay.

The location is great, and the room was generally fine. I stayed in base camp 5b, but the bathroom cleanliness brought my rating down. There's serious mold in the shower, and the bathroom badly needs a refresh. Also, there's no AC, which wasn't really advertised. With some updates, this could be a great place to stay.
