Fairfield Inn & Suites Lynchburg Liberty University

The rooms are small but clean, and the front desk was helpful, especially Julie. I picked this place for the pool, but it was packed with kids and so loud that it wasn't relaxing at all. The bed linens were stiff and I'm not sure what they were made of. It's only a three-night stay and I already regret it. I've tried the other three Marriott's in Lynchburg, and Spring Hill Suites is my favorite. I won't come back here.

We booked for four people, expecting one bed and a pull-out couch. That couch had almost no support and felt like it might only hold a five-year-old. Its springs gave way so easily, but my husband and I had to sleep on it all night. It was awful. The manager said she couldn't do anything because we'd booked through an agency. I've never had a hotel experience like this, with a bed that bad and customer service just as bad.

The price was right, and the hotel is just outside Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. The staff were great, the room was very good, and the free breakfast downstairs was a real breakfast. There's an indoor pool too, and it's kid friendly.

The room was okay, but there were blood stains on my pillowcase and mold in the bathroom. I booked a 1-Bedroom Suite, and it seemed clean otherwise. Bonvoy members should avoid this Marriott. They no longer give members water at check-in or the welcome gift, points, or market item usually offered. The front desk staff were unprofessional and need more training. I'm Titanium and stay at Marriott properties 2-3 nights a week, but I won't return. Keep in mind this is a college town. A sports team was staying there the same night, and they were loud all night through the walls and down the hall. It smelled like weed all night too, and breakfast was very basic.
