We came across Lynden by chance while driving from Vancouver to Seattle and were charmed by how tidy, clean, and beautiful the town is. The hotel sits right downtown and is modern, spotless, and nicely decorated. Our room had everything we needed, was stylishly furnished, and stayed quiet despite the central location. The beds were comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly. There are lots of thoughtful extras: free snacks and drinks, vouchers for the city museum and gift shop, and bikes you can borrow to explore. The hotel also has a little book and souvenir shop, a restaurant serving sandwiches and burgers, and a pub for an evening beer. This was a perfect stay, the best hotel we've found across the 16 states we've visited in the U.S. Six stars out of five, and a wholehearted recommendation. Thanks to the owner and team for all the innovation and hard work!

On the way to Sun Peaks Canada, we needed a halfway stop and stumbled across this adorable Inn and town. We arrived around 9:30 pm, and the front desk attendant greeted us warmly. I can't remember her name, but she was so friendly she even walked us to our room. The room felt welcoming, was spacious and clean, and the snacks left for us were a nice touch. We also got a delicious gala apple at the front desk. The restaurant next door served us a hearty breakfast, then we crossed the street to the 100+ year old Dutch bakery. We left with an assortment of goodies for the rest of the drive. Thank you to the lovely person who checked us in on 2/11/26! Dawn and Larry

We live only 15 miles away, but keep coming back to The Inn at Lynden for events in this charming town. Avenue Bread is next to the hotel and makes a delicious breakfast. The rooms are fantastic and the central location is great, but the service is a big reason we return. Maricel has been especially wonderful every time we've stayed: kind, professional, and always ready to help. I'm grateful for all she does to make each visit so good.

The cafe in the lobby serves a very good breakfast and lunch, and there's a bookstore and gift shop right nearby that's almost too convenient. My stay included a $5 bookstore coupon and a free-entry ticket to the heritage museum. The staff were friendly and helpful, and street parking opened up after 7 pm. The inn is right downtown, and my room was spacious and well organized. I especially liked the walk-in shower. Just be aware that many rooms have one or two steps between the door and the bed.
