Joseph, our host and bartender at The Mill at Seventh, was warm, attentive, and gave us amazing service. He took note of my dairy allergy and made sure both my drink and dinner were completely free of dairy allergens. We each had a tasty French Dip, and live piano music made the relaxed atmosphere even nicer. We'd come again.

We had a great time at The Mill and are excited to try something else next time. I'd assumed it was a wine bar with snacks, but after looking at the menu we gave it a try for my daughter's birthday. There are lots of kid-friendly choices and gluten-free substitutions. It was a quiet Monday night, and our friendly waitress offered the cute back patio, which we had to ourselves. There's also a front patio, but it's beside the road. She brought water promptly and answered all our questions. The charcuterie board was a nice spread for the four of us to share. Two of us got paninis, the Turkey Pesto and Orchard Valley. Both were tasty, though Orchard Valley was best, with brie and pear together. The other two ordered flatbread pizzas. The Tuin "Garden" had lots of vegetables with pesto, Italian cheese blend, mozzarella, and balsamic drizzle, almost like salad on flatbread. The Margherita was excellent too, but my daughter didn't like the capers. Their vinegar flavor was too strong and overpowered the other flavors. It also surprised us that it wasn't made with red sauce. There aren't many decent outdoor dining options in Lynden, so sitting away from the road was nice.

My daughter and I enjoyed our birthday dinner. The balsamic glazed chicken I ordered was great, and the Champagne cake made a perfect dessert to finish the evening.

The food was really good. I had a beautiful, flavorful pasta salad with perfectly cooked pasta and crisp vegetables. The Maui Flatbread pizza was super good too, and the coconut cheese was 🤌. Service was worth just one star. We sat outside, and our waitress barely paid attention to us. Getting anything took far too long, and the food arrived at different times. Some people had been eating for 10 minutes before the rest of us got our meals, which felt awkward. I can't really comment on the indoor atmosphere since we ate outside, so I gave it a neutral score.

Ask for Beth, she’s special. And save room for the cheesecake. The burger was outstanding, with a brioche bun crisp on the outside. Fresh greens and real grated parmesan made up the salad, and the tasty dressing came on the side. Even the water was excellent.
