Day's End Motel

The people running this motel, and maybe owning it too, were super nice and friendly. I spent a couple nights here over the summer, and it was decent enough. I can’t think of anything negative to say about the place. It’s very close to a strip club and a music venue, so it might get loud nearby at night, but I never noticed any noise. I’d stay again.

We liked it enough to add another night. The room was clean and bigger than rooms at many better-known, more expensive places. It had a fridge with freezer, microwave, jetted tub, and even a Webber grill. I slept great, though the mattresses will probably need replacing before too long. We’re seniors, but this would also be a good spot for families with kids because there’s lots to do outdoors. Great place, nice people.

The owners are super friendly and helpful, and the rates are great. It’s pet friendly, well lit at night, quiet, clean, and very well kept. The attractions are only minutes away. If we make it back to the Dells, we’ll stay here again.

It felt a little awkward with so many people gathered outside, almost like a family reunion, so we didn’t end up using the pool or mini golf. The beds were also really bouncy and not very comfortable. Still, it’s a cute, family-owned motel, and I think it would have been great if we’d had kids with us. A drunk couple in the next room were yelling at each other and woke us in the middle of the night. We called the office, and the owners came out and told them to be quiet. The man left. The couple were evicted the next morning because the owners didn’t accept that kind of behavior in a family setting, which we appreciated.
