Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle North Lynnwood

I asked the front desk for basic items, a toothbrush, toothpaste and razor. The woman responded in a very impatient, unprofessional tone, saying housekeeping had gone off work at 7pm and she couldn’t remember what I’d asked for, so I’d have to come down myself. I suggested she write it down and, if someone else was working, send them to the room. Families travel with kids, and people choose hotels for convenience. Not every parent can leave the room to fetch basic items a hotel should provide. A few minutes later, a man came up with only a razor. He looked surprised when I said we’d also asked for slippers and a toothbrush, which I’d repeated twice slowly so the desk clerk could write it down. Why didn’t she say they had no slippers when I asked twice? Why did she hang up on me, and why was only the razor remembered? I’ve been a diamond member for almost 10 years, and this was the most ridiculous experience I’ve had at a Hilton. Hilton needs to train its staff better. It’s Christmas, and is this how you want your guests to feel, warm and welcome?

I’ve been coming here for at least nine years straight, and I love it. The rooms are amazing and the staff are always friendly and courteous. There seems to have been some construction going on for much of those years, but it hasn’t affected my stays. At this point it’s almost funny. And don’t skip breakfast. It’s so good that I actually get up early for it, and for me it’s worth the stay on its own. Highly recommend!

We got ready for our wedding at this hotel, and everything went great from booking through checkout. Alicia helped organize our room block and the bridal and groom suites. She was kind, responsive and organized, making things easy and stress-free for us and our guests. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. We’re grateful for their care and professionalism, and would highly recommend the hotel.

We picked this Hilton because it was within 10 minutes of the family we were visiting, had free parking and offered a good deal. As a loyal Hilton customer, I’m used to Embassy Suites having spacious suites, free breakfast with some cooked-to-order food, and a manager’s reception. We liked that the eggs were made to order here too, but the chef didn’t mention she had bacon until we asked. That’s just evil. You can imagine the distress. Maybe my Hilton Honor Points will pay for therapy? The property feels dated, from the furniture and decor to our shower and tub combo. The toilet was very low, which is harder as we get older. Parking was scarce, and after 9:00 PM it was difficult to find a secure spot. It only rated three stars for us, but we’d probably still return. Hopefully things improve.
