The room was spotless, comfortable, and really nice, and the property and amenities are clearly well cared for. Maria made our anniversary stay feel like family had come to visit. She was kind and caring, and worked hard at cleaning and managing the front desk, even stopping by at breakfast. The woman who cleaned the rooms was lovely too, very kind and thorough, though I didn’t catch her name. We’ve decided this will be our little getaway spot and hope to return as soon as we can. We’ll be telling people about it, so if you’re thinking of staying, take this as your sign to go.

The next morning, when we tried to make breakfast for our family of four, a housekeeper told us we couldn’t make a fourth waffle because we were taking too much food. We absolutely weren’t. She argued with me when I said I wasn’t going to pick which one of us got to eat. I paid for our stay and shouldn’t have been spoken to like that. We’ll never return, and I’d tell anyone seeking a cheap place to stay to look elsewhere. It wasn’t worth it. There were problems with the room too: nothing was plugged in when we arrived, and the TV didn’t work. Staff spent hours trying to fix it before eventually moving us to another room, which was the least they could do.

The staff were pleasant, and the room was fairly clean, but the place felt a little seedy. The hotel is for guests 21 and up, and kids aren’t allowed in the suite I’d reserved. Neither restriction was disclosed online, so they downgraded us to a regular room. Breakfast is only served Thursday through Monday, which also wasn’t stated online, and the TV didn’t work. As a 37-year-old man by myself I’d have been fine here, but it’s not suitable for a family.

The bathroom was absurdly tiny: using the toilet meant nearly putting a foot in the shower. The room also had an odor I can’t explain. At check-in, a desk sign was how we learned that breakfast wasn’t offered on the day we arrived, one of the three days it’s unavailable. We’re Choice members and asked about earning points right away. The front desk woman said it would be fine, but the screen later said we’d miss our points. When I walked straight out and asked for my money back, I was told no, rooms are final. This was horrendous. Don’t come here. I’d give it zero stars if I could.
