The highway location is convenient, the staff were nice and helped when we had a problem, and they offer gf breakfast choices. But our room had ants. After the first night, our cat’s food was moving when we woke up. We travel with her a lot and have never had ants before, so we switched rooms. The sheets weren’t breathable at all. Sleeping under them felt like being under plastic, so I ended up using a towel.

The hallway to our room was filthy, like someone had thrown a party and nobody cleaned up. There were crumbs in parts of our room too, though surprisingly it wasn’t too bad. The elevator was broken by morning, leaving a sweet older woman on our floor needing help to get to the first floor. That’s a serious safety hazard, and it was also a pain with kids. Employees seemed to stand around chatting instead of dealing with problems. Breakfast was included, but the spread wasn’t great. We had to pay $3.50 for chocolate milk, and there wasn’t any coffee ready. The highway beside the hotel was loud all night, and as it’s pet friendly, expect barking dogs. For a simple one night stay with two little kids, it was very inconvenient. This was an unfortunate $200+ night, and I couldn’t get out fast enough. Thank goodness it was just one night. The other hotel I first tried to book was full, which now makes sense. I won’t choose this place or another Tru location again. Good luck!

At 1 am, I’m still awake even though I have to drive all day tomorrow. The walls are paper thin. Music thumps and echoes from next door, apparently meant to cover people’s "personal activities," while conversation from the room on the other side comes through clearly. I asked the front desk for earplugs. The clerk was accommodating, but seemed indifferent to the noise complaint, and earplugs can’t block the music rattling through the room. I used to stay in places like Motel 6 when I was younger, but now I can afford nicer hotels and chose this one after driving all day. Big mistake. I booked through Expedia after seeing good reviews, but I don’t agree with them. There’s no microwave in the room, so I had to order food delivery, and there was highway noise too. The rate was supposed to be $112 plus a $25 fee, so why did the hotel charge me $191? This place isn’t worth more than a Motel 6, for Pete’s sake. If you want a restful stay, go elsewhere. Worst hotel experience since 1993.

The parking lot was packed during my recent one night stay. The room was clean and breakfast was okay, but they ran out of a few things about 35 minutes before it ended and didn’t restock. We wanted yogurt and boiled eggs, but carried on without them. The front desk agent, Brian or Ryan, was lovely. The lobby had modern vibes, with board games and a pool table downstairs. I’d stay again next time I pass through WV.
